The fourth annual Brian Cramer Memorial 5-Kilometer road race took place Saturday, July 19, an event held in conjunction with Founder's Day in Union and which attracted 40 competitors.

The race started and ended at the Union Fairgrounds and also rolled through Union Common and past Vose Library.

Nicholas Derosby finished first in the race, clocking in with a time of 19 minutes and 34 seconds across the 3.1-mile course.

Formerly known as the Vose Library Founder’s Day 5K, the race was renamed last year in memory of Cramer, a Union resident who died the previous year.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the programs and services of the library.
