The Midcoast’s weekly ukulele strumming groups are changing things up this month.
The Belfast Ukulele Strumming Group that meets Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. is leaving the city waterfront gazebo until next summer and returning to Harbor Hill Center, 2 Footbridge Road, across the bridge in East Belfast. Rockland’s Ukes Rock strumming group is taking a break until the end of the month, resuming its weekly sessions Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Rockland Main Street, Inc. Office, second floor (Suite 203) of 417 Main St. (above In Good Company). For more information, call 542-4452.
Meanwhile, on Thursdays, the Lincolnville Ukulele Group continues weekly from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Parish Hall of United Christian Church, 18 Searsmont Road/Route 173, Lincolnville Center. However, regular facilitator the Rev. Dr. Susan Stonestreet is on sabbatical this month, so the LUGbugs will be led by Robin Guist. For more information, call 236-8475.
