State Police say a Thorndike woman has died from injuries she received in a two-car crash a week ago in Searsmont.
Anne Brown, 84, died earlier this week at Eastern Maine Medical Center, according to a release from Maine State Police. State Trooper Desiree Wuthenow said Brown was a passenger in a car driven by her 81-year-old husband, Willard Brown, which pulled out onto Route 3 and into the path of another car on Aug. 29.
The second vehicle, a 2001 Subaru, was driven by 58-year-old Peter Kassen of Lincolnville, according to police. Kassen, his wife, Margaret Kassen, 57, and their 21-year-old daughter, Hope Kassen, were injured, along with the two Browns. All have now been released from the hospital.
Wuthenow said no charges will be filed.
