An interactive two-part workshop will be offered by Maine Media Women Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Mobius Center on Main Street/Business Route 1. Anyone can participate, and no writing experience is necessary. The workshop will be led by Rockland Poet Laureate Carol Bachofner, and pre-registration is required.

“Play and poetry are great partners,” said Bachofner, who has presented the workshop — Paper Bag Poetry and Poetry on the Move — many times to both children and adults. On Oct. 4, she promises to send attendees on a live poem walking journey, “packing a poetry lunch.” The cost of the workshop is $25; materials will be provided, and light refreshments will be available.

The morning will begin with sign-in and networking from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m., and the workshop will run from 9 to about 11:30 a.m. To register, contact MMW Treasurer Carol Jaeger, owner of Salt Bay Art Supply in Damariscotta, at 563-8377 or sbart@tidewater.net; or send a check for $25, payable to Maine Media Women, to Carol Jaeger, P.O. Box 175, Round Pond, ME 04564. Deadline for registration is Monday, Sept. 29.
