A Winterport man avoided serious injury after he turned his motorcycle in front of an oncoming vehicle the morning of Sept. 13.
Deputy Darrin Moody of the Waldo County Sheriff's Office responded to Kendall Road in Winterport at 9:10 a.m. after the driver of a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle, Robert Wright, 55, turned in front of an oncoming 2005 Pontiac passenger car driven by Tracey Leamer, 35, also of Winterport.
Wright's motorcycle scraped along the side of the Pontiac causing minor damage to the Pontiac and the motorcycle.
Wright suffered non-incapacitating injuries in the crash. Leamer and her two passengers were not injured.
