A Palermo woman suffered a concussion when her vehicle went off the road and struck a utility pole Sept. 22.

Deputy Jordan Tozier of the Waldo County Sheriff's Office responded to a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 3:59 a.m. on North Palermo Road in Palermo.

The driver of a 2003 Honda passenger car, Melissa Haskell, 20, was traveling southbound when she failed to negotiate a mild curve because of decreased visibility as a result of foggy conditions, Tozier wrote in the crash report.

Haskell's vehicle left the roadway and traveled approximately 150 feet along an embankment before striking a utility pole. The collision caused Haskell's Honda to roll over and come to rest on its roof.

The Honda was towed from the scene because of disabling front-end damage. Haskell suffered a concussion in the crash.

The utility pole was destroyed in the crash.
