Bring a new unwrapped toy to donate and enjoy a free train ride through the scenic fall foliage of Waldo County.

The Toys for Tots benefit train ride will be conducted Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. All toys will be given to Waldo County children in need.

The train leaves City Point Station in Belfast at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in attendance and participants are invited to have their picture taken with them. There will also be hotdogs, popcorn, hot cocoa and a bake sale.

"We are excited to partner with the Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad," said Joan Vargas, Toys for Tots coordinator. "This free train ride is a great family activity and a fun way to share the joy of giving back to the community with your children."
