Auditions will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, for Belfast Maskers' November production of Neil Simon's “The Good Doctor,” a collection of humorous sketches inspired by the stories of Anton Chekhov.

Auditions will be held at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 95 High St.; use the front door and come upstairs to the sanctuary. The following cast members are needed: two males in their 40s-plus; two males in their 50s-plus; an older teen boy and girl; two women in their 50s-plus; and one woman in her 30s-plus.

This will be a staged reading; full memorization will not be required, but performers should be familiar enough with the script to be able to move freely (this is a physical show) and not have to bury their faces in the scripts. Exact production dates for this lively, fun show will be announced in coming weeks.
