Living Innovations, an agency that provides in-home and community support to the elderly, those with long-term illnesses and people with developmental disabilities, today announced the opening of a Belfast office.

The new office will be Living Innovation’s ninth in the state of Maine. According to Director of Maine Operations Lynn Augustine, “I am excited to have a physical space in Waldo County – we have been providing services in this area for years now and the Belfast office will allow us to be more accessible to the people we support and their families.”

“Having the Belfast office will help us to more effectively fulfill our mission of providing support to people of all ages and abilities to have a good life at home and in the community,” said Neal Ouellett Founder and CEO. “It is important for people with disabilities and their loved ones to have choices about the services that they obtain and our new office will facilitate that in Hancock, Waldo, Penobscot, Knox and Kennebec counties.”

Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Living Innovations will be holding an open house at the new Belfast office, which is located at 248 Northport Ave. (behind the old Moss factory). “This will be an opportunity for anyone who is interested in services for people with disabilities to stop in for an informal lunch or snacks and to meet the Newport team,” said Augustine.

Services offered from the Belfast office include shared living, community support, hourly support, work support and adult community case management. For additional information about Living Innovations and their services in Maine, visit livinginnovations.com or call 992-2700.
