Artist and animator Hanji Chang will be the guest speaker at the next Lincolnville Community Library’s fall presentation Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. at Lincolnville Community Library, 208 Main St./routes 173/52, Lincolnville Center. John and Rachel Nicholas will perform in the evening’s concert segment.

Chang is the O'Chang Comics co-creator and animator of “Temp Tales,” a series of animated YouTube videos. Born in Taiwan to a Korean mother and Taiwanese father, Chang spent the first part of her life in South Africa during the last gasps of Apartheid. She is now married to a Mainer and lives in Rockland. Chang is a painter, graphic designer, illustrator and director/animator for O'Chang Comics. She graduated from Maine College of Art with a BFA in New Media.

John and Rachel Nicholas have been making music together for more than 30 years. Their original songs are steeped in the varied history of folk and popular music, and their lyrics tell stories that are deep and true. In 2012, the couple moved to Midcoast Maine and have become active in the music community here. They have performed at the Sweet Chariot Music Festival for the last several years and have become part-time members of David Dodson’s band The Lowdown. John and Rachel Nicholas have shared the stage with Dave Mallett, Patty Larkin, Chris Smither, Paul Sullivan, Mary Gauthier and many others throughout New England.
