Beacon of Hope on the Hill Church has opened Threads of Hope Thrift Shop at 21 Patterson Hill Road.

"Our vision is to help the community," said Pastor Laurie Hall of the new shop, which held its grand opening Nov. 1.

"We want to keep our prices very low so we can bless back into the community for those who can't afford a lot," she said. "Each month, from what we bring in we will sow 10 percent back into the community."

Beacon of Hope on the Hill Church was formed early this year with the merger of Midcoast Christian Fellowship and Homes of Revival Worship. Its pastors are Laurie Hall and Toney Hall; youth pastor is Benjamin Herbest.

Threads of Hope Thrift Shop is open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Anyone who wishes to donate clothing or household items to the thrift shop is asked to contact Pastor Laurie Hall at 322-2674 or 338-5899. For more information, visit beaconofhopeonthehill.com
