The year’s final poetry and spoken word jam is set for Friday, Nov. 21, at Bell The Cat, 15G Starrett Drive. Signup, chat, sip and snack starts 6:30 p.m. with the open readings starting at 7 p.m.

The evening will have a Thanks and Conclusions theme as it is the final jam of Belfast Poet Laureate Ellen Sander’s term “in office.” Poets, poetry fans, slammers, jammers performance artists, students, writing groups, teachers and cahoots are invited to come get their jam on at the bi-monthly open reading in Bell The Cat's performance space.

There will be a poets table. All are invited to bring poems or spoken word works to read, recite or to work on; and an instrument, if they play one, or a musician to accompany poetry. Bell The Cat has soups, salads, deli sandwiches, cookies, pastries, coffee/tea beverages, ice cream, beer and wine.
