The folk trio Meteora, featuring Kat Logan, Jim Loney and Will Brown, will perform Saturday, May 23, at 7 p.m. at the Belfast Unitarian Universalist Church, 37 Miller St.

Tight three-part harmonies and varied instrumentations and arrangements are this trio’s hallmark. Their concerts are comprised of original songs, folk, traditional and Americana.  They will also add a peppering of world folk, Cubano and some American standards.

All three musicians have played with numerous groups during the past 30 years, as well as having recorded with many Maine musicians. Brown and Logan both had songs included on the 2009 Grammy-nominated compilation “Singing Through The Hard Times – A Tribute to Utah Phillips.”

Advanced seats are $10, $6 for “elders and youngers.” Suggested donations at the door are $12 and $8. For more information, call Brown at 789-5276 or email willbe@tidewater.net.
