Midcoast Community Chorus, under the direction of Mimi Bornstein, will present its spring concert Saturday, June 13, at 7 p.m. in the Strom Auditorium of Camden Hills Regional High School, off Route 90

Singing as a community for the community, MCC has selected the Area Interfaith Outreach Food Pantry as this year’s spring concert beneficiary. Past benefit concerts have raised $10,000 or more in concert proceeds for local nonprofits serving the Midcoast region. Concert attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items for collection in the lobby on the day of the concert.

Joining Bornstein and the chorus will be MCC Assistant Director Sean Fleming on keyboards, along with MCC band regulars Jeff Densmore on percussion, Phil Clement on guitar and Chuck McGregor on bass. Guest musicians will include a fabulous brass section with Doug Kennedy, Peter Stuart and Liz Matta; and percussionist Matt Meyer from Boston.

The “Rejuvenate!” program will weave music from a variety of genres and cultures to create a powerful celebration of music and community. There also will be a special guest performance by Youth Voice, MCC’s new chorus for singers age 12 and older, under the direction of Steve Weston.

Reserved seating tickets are $22 and $30, available online at mccsings.org or by calling 975-0582 only. General admission tickets are $15, available through the website and at HAV II in Camden, the Grasshopper Shop in Rockland and the Green Store in Belfast.
