Jim Bahoosh will give an illustrated talk on designing and building small houses Tuesday, June 16, at 6:30 p.m. in the Abbott Room of Belfast Free Library, 106 High St.

Small, for the sake of this talk, is 500 to 900 square feet. Small homes are easy to heat, maintain and lovely to live in. Bahoosh will show a variety of design elements and construction techniques that efficiently utilize space.

Bahoosh has been a solo builder and designer since 1983, when he started rebuilding old homes. In 1995, he shifted focus to the design and construction of new homes styled in traditional New England fashion. For the past 10 years, his focus has been on small homes.

This program is free and open to the public. For more information, call the library at 338-3884, ext. 10.
