Film buffs Karen Gleeson and Paul Sheridan will present another month of indie, foreign and documentary films Fridays at 7 p.m., through June 19, in the Abbott Room of Belfast Free Library, 106 High St. June’s theme is Fathers.

The month’s series continues June 12 with "Incendies" (2010, Canada/USA), which runs 139 minutes. A mother's last wishes send her twins on a journey to the Middle East in search of their tangled roots: to find their father and brother. Adapted from Wajdi Mouawad's acclaimed play, and starring Belgian actress Lubna Azabal, “Incendies” tells a powerful and moving tale of two young adults' voyage to the core of deep-rooted hatred, never-ending wars and enduring love. The film is in English, French and Arabic with some subtitles.

Admission is free for Friday Night Flicks. Due to the Friends of the Library June 26 book sale, this month’s film series will conclude June 19 with "In a World…" (2013, USA).
