The public is invited to join representatives from ReVision Energy, a Liberty solar energy installation company, at a solar open house Wednesday, June 17,  4 to 6 p.m., at the home of Cloe Chunn and David Thanhauser at 210 Oak Hill Road. Light refreshments will be served.

Visitors can learn how ReVision Energy used passive solar principles to convert a bachelor farmer's pole-barn, garages and apartment into a home where hot water, heating, electricity and even a car are all powered by the sun. ReVision Energy general manager John Luft will be on hand to discuss current trends and incentives in solar power, including the emergence of community solar.

Founded in Liberty with four locations across Maine and New Hampshire, ReVision Energy, has installed more than 4,000 residential, commercial and institutional solar energy systems across northern New England, including installations at the Lincolnville Community Library, College of the Atlantic, and the City of Belfast fire station.
