Film buffs Karen Gleeson and Paul Sheridan have programmed a Fathers-themed month of indie, foreign and documentary films Fridays at 7 p.m. in the Abbott Room of Belfast Free Library, 106 High St.

Due to the Friends of the Library book sale on June 26, this month’s series will conclude June 19 with "In a World…" (2013, USA). Admission is free for Friday Night Flicks.

The 93-minute comedy is written and directed by Lake Bell, who also stars, along with Rob Corddry, Demetri Martin, Geena Davis and veteran character actor Fred Melamed. An underachieving vocal coach is motivated by her father, the king of movie-trailer voiceovers, to pursue her own aspirations of becoming a voiceover star. Amidst pride, sexism and family dysfunction, she sets out to change the voice of a generation.
