Unity College had four San Clemente Island goats born recently. There are about 800 of these goats left in the world.

San Clemente Island goats are a critically-endangered heritage breed, hailing from the Channel Island chain off the coast of California. Left to run feral on San Clemente Island for a century, they developed genetically independent from other breeds of goat.

With fewer than 800 of these goats worldwide, Unity College is dedicated to promoting the breed, increasing the geographical distribution, and preserving the genetic diversity of San Clemente Island goats through responsible stewardship and captive breeding.
