Local poet Tom Crowley will present a free program Wednesday, July 15, at 7 p.m. at the Lincolnville Community Library, 208 Main St./routes 52 and 173, in Lincolnville Center.

Crowley has been writing poetry and short stories for many years, but only recently has begun sharing his work. A resident of Lincolnville Beach, he said he likes to share experiences and views that are familiar to all who love living in Maine including black flies, summer crowds, autumn leaves and winter peace. “Gulls and Crows” is a book he wrote in poetry form about seagulls and crows trying to get along while sharing space in Penobscot Bay.

Crowley will talk about the writing process and read from his work. He also invites other poets to bring a piece they would like to share during an open mic session toward the end of the program. For more information, call 763-4343 or email questions@lincolnvillelibrary.org.
