Diane O’Brien will offer a Fair Isle knitting workshop Tuesday, July 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lincolnville Community Library, 208 Main St. O’Brien, a lifelong knitter, will show examples of Fair Isle patterns and knitting, and then lead participants in making a sample cuff using the technique.

Anyone interested is welcome to attend, but only those with experience knitting in the round will be able to make the sample cuff. Those who want to try the technique should bring a set of number four or five double-pointed knitting needles. Yarn will be provided.

There is no charge for the workshop, but registration is required for those who wish to knit the sample cuff. For more information or to register, call 763-4343 or e-mail questions@lincolnvillelibrary.org.
