Rosey Gerry will be the host and auctioneer. An open house for those who would like to visit the library and nearby Jackie Watts Open-air Museum will begin at 4 p.m.

The picnic menu will include pulled pork or vegetarian beans, homemade rolls, hearty summer salads, watermelon, cookies and lemonade.

Items to be auctioned include a painting by Lincolnville artist Mary Bourke, a scenic airplane ride, sailing lessons, a historical tour of Lincolnville, a hand-turned oyster platter from Beyond Hope Farm, a custom-framed pet portrait, organic chicken from Donkey Universe Farm, an elegant pitcher from Meghan Flynn pottery, Elderflower Farm organic blueberries, a gift basket from Cellardoor Winery, gift certificates from the Whale’s Tooth Pub and Long Grain Restaurant, and lots more. There will also be a raffle to win a brand-new wheelbarrow.

Tickets for the picnic supper are $10 for adults and $5 for children; those under 4 and over 90 may eat for free. All proceeds from the event will be used to keep the library and its many services and programs thriving. For more information, call 763-4343 or e-mail questions@lincolnvillelibrary.org.
