The public is invited to another music night Friday, Aug. 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Town Hall Mercantile Pub, 181 Main St. Performing will be Dave and Fran Plus.

Dave Mussey and Fran Doonan perform as Dave and Fran Plus, and their enthusiastic love of music is infectious. Using blended harmonies and traditional folk instruments including guitar, bowed psaltery, accordion, mandolin, and autoharp, they engage audiences with melody, fun and humor. Their repertoire includes traditional American folk, as well as original songs and inspirational stories.

Dave and Fran Plus has performed for many years in concert halls, house parties, schooners, street corners, the Maine State House, the outer Maine islands, nursing homes and rehab facilities. The duo have used music as a healing tool and self-esteem builder with numerous teenage foster children.

And the Plus? Musically talented friends and family may from time to time add surprise and dimension to Dave and Fran concerts. Samples of their music may be heard at daveandfranplus.com.

The pub will be taking table reservations and food orders at 567-4098; the previous music nights have packed the hall.
