Law enforcement officials with Waldo County Sheriff's Office reported the following recent activity:

Aug. 2

Adam M. Giggey, 36, of Unity, inspection sticker violation.

James E. Doak, 54, of Waldo, alleged speed 65 mph in a 45 mph zone.

July 31

Joshua C. Cushman, 21, of Northport, operating after suspension.

Michael R. Weaver, 34, of Belfast, inspection sticker violation.

Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on North Searsport Road in Swanville at 12:59 p.m. Judith L. Simpson of Northport turned on her signal and slowed to turn left onto East Heron Lane in her 2014 Ford passenger car when she was rear-ended by a 2004 Dodge pickup truck. The driver of the pickup, Sherri A. Littlefield of Swanville, had failed to see Simpson's turn signal and brake lights, according to police.

Littlefield's truck was towed from the scene with disabling damage. Simpson's vehicle was drivable. There were no injuries reported in the crash.
