The Good Kettle on Route 1 will host a benefit wine tasting and art showing for the Waldo Community Action Partners Thursday, Aug. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Artists for the evening are John and Leslie Wombacher of Sundial Framing and Photography in Bucksport. John, who has a master’s degree in fine art, and Leslie, a self-taught photographer with a degree in commercial art, met at a camera store in Cincinnati, Ohio, and moved to Maine 12 years ago.

At the Good Kettle, John will have examples from his series of Palimpsest Prints in which he has used both Van Dyke and cyanotype photographic processes to juxtapose two images. Leslie will have selections from a series called The Fair intended to offer a child's perspective.

Ten percent of the evening’s sale profits will benefit WCAP. Light appetizers will be paired with selected wines. For more information, contact The Good Kettle at 567-2035.
