An exhibit of recent oil paintings by Jeff Loxterkamp will be on display in the Kramer Gallery of Belfast Free Library, 106 High St., through the month of September. The gallery is located on the ground floor of the library and is open during library hours.

Loxterkamp grew up and began his painting career in the flat Midwest area of Iowa. He moved to Maine in 1999 and since then, he has found inspiration and subject matter in the diverse Maine landscapes and inhabitants. The exhibit includes 10 oil paintings of harbor and street scenes from recognizable places around the state.
