Hannaford Supermarket has donated $1,500 to The Game Loft to support programming for Waldo County youth.

The Game Loft, at 78A Main St., provides an environment where young people are guided to become caring, competent, confident, contributing and connected adults.

Hannaford representatives said they are “proud to partner with The Game Loft to make a positive impact on youth in Waldo County. We understand that it takes a village to raise a child and we’re pleased to join with other individuals and businesses to support the mission and goals of this organization. Together, we can make a difference.”

The Game Loft is additionally funded in part by contributions from the city of Belfast and other Waldo County municipalities, United Mid-Coast Charities, United Way of Eastern Maine, foundations and many individual donors.

The Game Loft is open Mondays, 2 to 6 p.m., for those 12 and younger, and Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2 to 6 p.m., and Fridays, 2 to 8:30 p.m., for youth 18 and younger. There is a program at Mount View Middle School on Wednesdays, 3 to 5:15 p.m., for youth in grades 3-12. For more information visit thegameloft.org.
