The Belfast Creative Coalition welcomes everyone to September’s Fourth Friday Art Walk on Sept. 25 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. More than 15 downtown galleries participate in the Fourth Friday Art Walks, marked by lively blue flags.

Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the paintings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, etchings, assemblage and fine craft of local Maine artists. Teaching artist Bridget Matros will be in the white tent for a free, all-ages, hands-on activity for the artist in everyone. Featured performers for the first art walk of fall will include Dave Johnson, at the corner of Main and High streets’ and harpist Nancy Schroeder.

During the art walk, there will be a preview party for the Cultivate: Belfast Area Farm and Arts Fall Tour at 161 High St. (look for the Cultivate signs). Art walkers are invited to come in and see original paintings, prints, artisan lampshades, blown glass, book art, sculptures and wide variety of art and handmade goods from the 2015 Cultivate Fall Tour sites. This year’s tour is set for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 11 and 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There will be one more Belfast Fourth Friday Art Walk on Oct. 23, then a special Holiday Art Walk on Dec. 4. For more information on the art walks and the tour, visit belfastcreativecoalition.org.
