Boothbay Region Art Foundation has issued the call for art for ‘ARTinME,’ a statewide exhibit that will open with a 5 to 7 p.m. gala reception and awards ceremony Saturday, Oct. 17, at BRAF’s gallery, 1 Townsend Ave.

Judge for the sixth annual “ARTinME” will be Bob Keyes, Maine Media Arts Reporter for the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram, especially known for his in-depth, definitive coverage of Maine’s creative culture. The exhibit presents a fresh and selective look at the fine art being produced by Maine artists today, showcasing originality and skill in the painting, drawing and sculpture media. Monetary prizes, amounting to more than $1,500, will be awarded.

There is a limit of two entries per artist; entry fee is $20, $15 for BRAF members. Delivery of artwork is set for Tuesday, Oct. 13, from noon to 7 p.m.; or Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to noon at the gallery, located diagonally across the street from the Memorial Library.

Works selected for exhibition will be announced on or before Friday, Oct. 16. For show specifics, guidelines for artwork and registration forms, visit boothbayartists.org or call 633-2703 for more information.
