Beginning in October, Rita Swidrowski, a retired children’s library assistant and former elementary art teacher, will present a special monthly evening of fun at Belfast Free Library for children ages 4-8 with a caregiver. Pajamarama will take place on the first Monday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The 2015 dates are Oct. 5, Nov. 2 and Dec. 1.

Pajamarama is different from morning story times as it is geared to early elementary age children as well as to preschoolers. Children are invited to come in pajamas and to bring a cuddly bedtime toy. They will enjoy stories, songs, and rhymes and will create a related art object or craft to take home.

All library programs are free and open to the public. For more information, call 338-3884, ext. 24.
