Last week, we asked readers if their day was disrupted Sept. 30 because of heavy rains and street flooding. Opinions were nearly even, with 'no' slightly edging out 'yes' votes. Regardless of level of inconvenience, many readers noted detours because of flooded roads, flooded basements or other damage to trees and homes, slow travel and being smart and staying home. Those who are paid often make less than minimum wage.
