Hop aboard the Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad and support Toys for Tots. Bring a new unwrapped toy to donate and enjoy a free train ride through the scenic fall foliage of Waldo County. All toys will be given to Waldo County children in need.

The Toys for Tots benefit train ride will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The train leaves City Point Station in Belfast at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2 p.m. There will also be hot dogs, popcorn, hot cocoa, and a bake sale.

"This free train ride is a great activity for families and a fun way to kick off the holiday season," said Joan Vargas, Toys for Tots coordinator. "Bring a new unwrapped toy to donate and share the spirit of giving with your family."
