The Belfast Area Chamber Of Commerce is hosting a different kind of Business After Hours event Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Boathouse, on the waterfront at the foot of Commercial St.

A Cooperative Vernissage is an opportunity for the public, and chamber business members, to experience the visual and culinary art of local purveyors too intimate to host a regular After Hours gathering.

A vernissage is defined as a preview of an art exhibition; in this case, the art is both gallery and artisanal, with the Passy Rail Trail thrown in for good measure. Participating will be the seasonal Jerri Finch Gallery, Parent Gallery, High Street Studio & Gallery, Betts Gallery, Mainely Pottery and Bennett's Gems & Jewelry art establishments, as well as Vinolio's, The Treasured Tea and Eat More Cheese.

The fun evening will be catered by Rollies Remote and will include drawings for door prizes.
