Vose Library’s popular mystery author program Soup and Suspense will host Belfast author Dorothy Cannell Thursday, Oct. 22, at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to come meet the author and sample delicious soups made by Vose’s dedicated volunteers.

Cannell will read from and talk about the latest book in her Florence Norris mystery series, “Death at Dovecote Heath,” due to come out in December; and answer questions from the audience.

Cannell writes “cozy” mysteries, including the 13 books of the Ellie Haskell series about a decorator and her chef husband. Her new series features Florence Norris, housekeeper at a country estate in the 1930s.

The $8 suggested donation supports the library, and there will be door prizes. For more information, call Vose Library, located at 392 Common Road, at 785-4733.
