Two weeks remain for the chance to have donations to the Passy Rail Trail Campaign matched. An anonymous donor offered to match all donations up to $10,000 through the end of October. Less than $3,000 is needed to meet that goal.

The "Pennies for the Passy" campaign means donors can go into any Bangor Savings Bank and offer a donation. Thermometer posters around town chart progress of the fundraising campaign. Overall, there is less than $100,000 still needed.

Another opportunity to support the campaign is movie night at the Colonial Theater at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, with a free showing of "Stand By Me" at 6:15 p.m., following an update about the trail starting at 5:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Checks can also be mailed to Coastal Mountains Land Trust, 101 Mt. Battie St., Camden, ME 04843.
