River Arts invites artists to submit work of the artist's choice for an open, juried “Small Works and Fine Crafts” show. Deadline for entry is Saturday, Nov. 7, at 4 p.m.

The emphasis of the show is on small works including fine crafts, suitable for giving. Outside dimensions of wall art should not exceed 20 inches. The opening reception will be Friday evening, Nov. 13, and the show will hang through Jan. 6.

Jurors for this show will be Martha Kalina and Bruce Johnston from Gifts 136 in downtown Damariscotta. They work hard to curate a store of accessible art and fine craft from established and emerging Maine artists. Owners Kalina and Rick Skoglund, along with manager Johnston, were cited for Down East Magazine’s Best Gallery (2013), Down East Magazine’s Best Gift Store (2014) and Yankee Magazine’s Best Gift Store Gallery (2015).

Work can be delivered anytime up to the deadline to River Arts, 241 Route 1, just north of N.C. Hunt Lumber. Entry forms are available online at riverartsme.org or at the gallery. Artists may enter up to three works. Fee is $20 (total) $15 for members. All work must be for sale.

River Arts is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, call 563-1507 or visit the website.
