The Ladies of the Varney Fellowship are gearing up for their annual Christmas Craft Fair and Raffle, to be held at the Varney Memorial Building, Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The women have been working on crafts during the year and have some unique and affordable crafts to sell, just in time for the holidays.

Raffle tickets for the event are now on sale with items including several gift certificates from local businesses, the Ladies Fellowship Quilt (this year it is a blue print patchwork design), a few home-crocheted afghans, a Quoddy basket and more.

John Ford, former local game warden and author of several books, including his latest “Deer Diary,” will be on hand for a book signing. His book will be available, and he will autograph purchases or already purchased copies.

Tables are available at $10 for any crafters who wish to join the event. For raffle ticket or table rental information, contact Margaret Mains at 722-3154.

Muffins and coffee will be available in the morning. A light luncheon of corn chowder or beef stew with sandwiches will also be available.
