Motoring in by boat, Santa Claus was greeted by a crowd gathered at the boat launch Dec. 12 before climbing aboard a horse-drawn wagon to Belfast Boathouse.
Santa came to Belfast as one attraction during Holiday on the Harbor, which offered photos with Santa, ornament-making, cookie decorating, games, a balloon artist, snacks and horse-drawn wagon rides. In addition, Cold Comfort Theater presented "The Grouch that Stole Happiness" and Elf Erica from Belfast Free Library read a Christmas story.
Events during the day were sponsored by Belfast Parks and Recreation Department, Belfast Chamber of Commerce and Cornerspring Montessori School.
