Police are investigating the death of a Belmont man as a homicide and continue efforts to determine the circumstances that led to his demise.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said Feb. 28 that investigators determined Edwin Littlefield, 43, whose body was discovered Feb. 8 outside a Kendall Corner Road home, was stabbed to death. Police said Littlefield was at the home visiting a friend when the incident occurred.

Police are still collecting evidence and conducting interviews to determine the circumstances that led to the stabbing.

No arrests have been made at this time, McCausland said.
