There will be a meeting for registration and tryout information for the Belfast Little League on Wednesday, March 15 at 6 p.m. at Troy Howard Middle School.

The league is open to residents of Belfast, Swanville and Northport and is not affiliated with Cal Ripken, which is a separate youth baseball and softball program in the same area.

Little League will include Major and Minor League teams. The Major League ages are 9-12 (date of birth Jan. 1, 2008 and Dec. 31, 2004) and the Minor League ages 7-12 (date of birth Jan. 1, 2010 and March 31, 2001).

Belfast Little League will be member of District 2, as it has been historically. That district includes leagues from Waldo County, Five Town in the Camden-Rockport-Lincolnville-Hope-Appleton area, Oceanside in Rockland, Lincoln County and Medomak Valley in the Waldoboro, Union, Washington, Warren and Friendship area.
