The regular season has wrapped for unified high school basketball teams, with 19 squads around the state to take the next step toward being crowned state champions.

Two of those teams are Oceanside of Rockland/Thomaston and Mount View of Thorndike — both of which are based in the North Division — and will participate in quarterfinal games.

Seven teams qualified from the North Division and 12 from the South Division.

The Mariners (3-3, 55.2381 points) finished seventh and the Mustangs (3-5, 77.6786 points) sixth in the final Maine Principals' Association Heal Point Standings.

Thus, the No. 7 Mariners will play at No. 2 Carrabec/Madison (4-2, 116.6667 points) on Wednesday, March 15 at 3:30 p.m., while the No. 6 Mustangs will play at No. 3 Foxcroft Academy of Dover-Foxcroft (7-1, 101.2500 points) on Wednesday, March 15 at 4 p.m.

The Mariners did not face Madison/Carrabec, nor did the Mustangs face the Ponies, during the regular season.

With significant snow in the forecast for Wednesday, should the playoff games be postponed, they will be played on Thursday, March 16.
