Brownie Ribbon Cake

3/4 cup flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup butter or shortening

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 squares (2 ounces) baking chocolate, melted

2 tablespoon evaporated milk or cream

2 tablespoon water

3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Combine ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes on a 9 by 13 inch cookie sheet. Cut in 4 strips (9 by 3-1/4 inches). Whip 2 cups whipping cream with 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Spread whipped cream generously between brownie strips (stacked). Refrigerate overnight or for several hours.

Beef Tips in Mushroom Sauce

2 pounds lean chuck (stew meat)

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 package onion soup mix

1 cup 7 Up

Put meat in casserole. Do not season. Pour soup and soup mix over meat. Add 7 Up. Cover the casserole and bake in 275 degree oven for 4 hours. DO NOT OPEN oven door during cooking period. After 4 hours remove from oven and allow to stand 30 minutes.

Peanut Butter Pie

1 envelope unflavored gelatin

1/2 cup boiling water

1/2 package (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened

1 cup confectioners' sugar

1/3 cup peanut butter

1 container (9 ounce) Cool Whip

1 9-inch graham cracker pie crust

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Cool to lukewarm. Whip cheese until soft and fluffy. Beat in sugar and peanut butter. Slowly add gelatin mixture blending thoroughly. Fold Cool Whip into mixture. Mix well. Pour into pie crust until firm, 1-2 hours.

Strawberry Pudding

1/2 cup flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 cup sugar

dash of salt

1/2 cup milk

Grease casserole dish with butter. Sift dry ingredients and mix with milk. The batter will be thin. Add bowl of sweetened strawberries or any berries. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Batter will rise up through berries and spread out evenly on top and brown. Frozen berries may be used.
