Jacqueline “Jackie” Smith, 68, passed away peacefully, April 24, 2017, at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Belfast, June 3, 1948, a daughter of James P. and Hazel E. (Reynolds) Ellis.

Jackie was a graduate of Belfast Area High School, class of 1968. She was employed at Viner Bros. Shoe for many years.

Surviving are son Rick Smith and his wife Martha of Orland; grandson Connor Smith of Orland; four sisters, Eloise Bane of Burnham, Linda Dunbar and her husband Bill of Glenburn, Pam Faulkingham and her husband John, and Debbie Lawrence and her husband Wayne, all of Belfast; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, grandparents and brother-in-law, Rodney Bane.

Graveside services will be held at noon,  Friday, April 28, at Smart Cemetery, Curtis Road, Swanville. Relatives and friends are invited to share conversation and refreshments at the VFW Hall, 34 Field St., Belfast, directly following the service.
