One day after rain washed out many high school athletic events, six Midcoast tennis squads hit the courts on Thursday, April 27 in search of early-season victories.

In the end, the Belfast and Camden Hills boys, in addition to Oceanside girls, did just that in matches that involved Knox and Waldo county athletes.

The Lion boys bested Oceanside 4-1 in Rockland, the Windjammer boys earned a 5-0 road win over Gardiner and the Mariner girls defeated the Lions 3-2 in Belfast.
