The 38th annual Blues Music Awards were presented May 11 at the Cook Convention Center. As usual, many a North Atlantic Blues Festival performer was nominated and/or took home BMAs; and several of this year’s performers are now polishing awards.

Kenny Neal, who will play the penultimate set of this summer’s fest, took home two awards: Contemporary Blues Male Artist; and Contemporary Blues Album (“Bloodlines”). And Biscuit Miller, slated to play on Day 1, won the Bass – Instrumentalist BMA. To peruse the list of familiar-to-Rockland winners, visit
