Northport Golf Club members were back in the early spring swing of things in recent scotch foursome, twilight league and points quota play.

On Sunday, May 21 in points quota play, the team of Jeff Dutch, Barry Porter, Peter Doran and John McKay finished first at 124; Mike Knox, Dick Clements, Clint Condon and Brian Beaulieu, second at 118; and Robb Herron, Steve Stanford, Tony Field and Phil Bowen, third at 117.

In Class A, Chad Place finished first gross 75; Mike Knox, second gross 82; Alex Carroll, third gross 83; Jeff Dutch, first net 69; Steve Stanford and Terry Whitney, second net 72; and Paul Jasienowski, fourth net 73.

The pin winners were: Alex Carroll, 26-0 on the third hole; Barry Porter, 24-5 on the ninth; Tim Riley, 4-0 on the 12th; and Tim Riley, 7-4 on the 18th.

In Class B, Clint Condon finished first gross 88; Jeff Shula and Paul Doody, tied second gross 90; Tony Field fourth gross 97; Frank Field, first net 73; Peter Doran, Brian Beaulieu and Bruce Spaulding, tied second net 74.

The pin winners were: Brian Beaulieu, 14-10 on the third; Paul Doody, 11-9 on the ninth; Don Pendergast, 45-0 on the 12th; and Paul Doody, 17-1 on the 18th.

On Thursday, May 18, in scotch foursome, Terry Whitney and Roxie Whitney finished first gross 44; Slim Peaslee and Barb Peaslee, first net 33; Ken Gordon and Sue Gordon, as well as Bill Pickford and Annie Pickford, tied second net 35; and Frank Field and Jean Brown, third net 36.

On Wednesday, May 17, in twilight league, for Class A, Paul Jasienowski, Jesse Johnson and Terry Whitney finished tied for first gross 40; Alex Carroll, fourth gross 42; Paul Doody, first net 35; Mike Knox and Kevin Nickerson, tied second net 37; and Steve Stanford, fourth gross 38.

The pin winners were: Preston War, 11-4 on the 12th hole; and Steve Stanford, 4-5 on the 18th.

In Class B, Bill Farris finished first gross 45; Chad Otis, second gross 47; Slim Peaslee, third gross 51; Frank Field, fourth gross 52; Bruce Spaulding, first net 37; Dan Eaton, Duke Marston, Chip Curry and Jim Boulier, tied second net 38.

The pin winner was: Greg Dutch on the 18th.
