Residents seated a new selectman by a wide margin, with Betsy Bradley winning out over incumbent Lesley Cosmano, 266-106, according to unofficial totals from the town.

Cosmano was elected to the board in 2011, according to Journal archives.

The race was the only contested one on the ballot in Stockton Springs. Current representative on Regional School Unit 20's Board of Directors Denise Dakin was the only candidate on the ballot for that position. Long-time Fire Chief Vern Thompson also ran unopposed for re-election.

Residents will gather for the annual town meeting later this week, Saturday, June 17, at 9 a.m., to discuss municipal funding for the coming fiscal year. Prior to the meeting, downstairs at the town office, engineers will offer a presentation regarding a proposed waste water treatment plant feasibility study that is included in the warrant. The informational meeting begins at 8 a.m.
