Law enforcement officials with Belfast Police Department reported the following recent activity:

Nov. 26

Brandon W. Bishop, 43, of Belfast, arrested and charged with operating under the influence.

Nov. 25

Christopher J. Laurence, 35, of Northport, arrested and charged with refusing to stop for a police officer, operating under the influence, operating after revocation, refusing to submit to arrest, possession of a schedule W drug (suboxone), and violating conditions of release.

According to police, Officer Lewis Dyer attempted to stop Laurence after seeing him driving the wrong way on Pendleton Lane. Laurence did not initially stop, and when he did, resisted Dyer's orders. After a physical altercation between Laurence and Dyer, Officer Brian Lunt arrived and used a TASER to subdue Laurence, who subsequently refused to take an intoxilyzer test.

Aaron M. Thayer, 23, of Carmel, assault.
