Anyone in need of warm outerwear (hats, mittens, scarves, gloves, socks) this winter can find them on Belfast's Christmas tree in Post Office Square. These items will be hanging on the tree and free of charge to help keep everyone warm this winter.

Anyone interested in participating in this project can donate yarn (bring it to the office of The First Church in Belfast, 8 Court St., on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 9 a.m. and noon, or come to Bell the Cat on Mondays between 4:30 and 6 p.m. to join a knitting group and make items for the tree.

The Tree of Warmth project is sponsored by members and friends of The First Church in Belfast. For more information, call 338-1852.
