The Waldo County Humane Society will hold its final free rabies clinic of the season on Saturday, Jan. 6, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Leroy Smith School in Winterport. Dr. Rachael Emerson of Ridge Runner Veterinary Services will administer the shots, which are free for pet owners who live in Waldo County. Those who live outside the county are welcome and will be charged $7 per shot.

Pets should be on a leash or in a carrier. Bring proof of a previous rabies shot so your pet can receive a three-year rabies certificate.

In addition to rabies shots, coupons that offer discounts toward the cost of having pets spayed or neutered will be available.
